Week of the Young Child

This week at school was titled "The Week of the Young Child". In truth, I'm not really sure what all this entails, but for Cash it involved dressing up in a silly outfit each day and eating extra snacks. It was cute enough though so hopefully he'll get to do it again next year when he understands a bit more why I'm forcing him to wear a superhero cape and share his beloved Veggie Straws with his friends. Monday was silly sock day. Since Cash's "silly socks" consisted of on regular navy sock paired with a navy stripe sock, I figured it wasn't worth getting a picture. Tuesday was "Pajamas and Popcorn" day except for the toddler room which was "Pajamas and Cheetos due to the popcorn choking hazard" day. Cash wore Batman's finest:

Wednesday was Hat Day! I picked up a turtle baseball hat for Cash at Gymboree on clearance. Unbeknownst by this picture, he actually enjoyed wearing it. And he looks darn cute in a baseball hat if I do say so myself:

Thursday was "Mix Match" day. This was Mommy's least favorite day:

Finally today was "Costume Day" and I sent Cash as Captain Heartbreaker using a pajama top and a $6 cape I found at Target. Cash wasn't particularly thrilled about the cape:
