I met with Cash's teacher, Ms. Terry, last Tuesday for a mid-year school update. While it may sound funny that I'm already having a parent/teacher conference about my 20 month old, I must say that I am so glad that we found such a great place for Cash to spend each day where he learns so much and gains so much structure. It definitely makes my job easier and Cash seems to love going there.
I learned from Ms. Terry that Cash is doing well with his gross motor skills - great at walking on his tiptoes and walking backwards, working on jumping and standing on one foot. He's expressing his emotions well and appropriately, playing with others and sharing, and has exceptional manners. She said that he loves saying "thank you" and that when they hear it across the room they know immediately that it's Cash. He's starting to verbalize better but still hasn't said his name so we are going to work on that at home. Overall, Ms. Terry said that Cash has a sweet and quirky little personality and thanked me for bringing him to AAI Pharma Learning Center. While it pretty much confirmed my own beliefs, it's always nice to hear.
In other news, we're coming to the end of a full week that Ross has been away for a work trip. Cash has dealt with it pretty well and seems to be adjusting to our work travel, which is good since I leave for a three day trip this Monday. We can't wait for Daddy to get back this weekend...it's been a long week.
Here's a little video of Cash working on his fine motor skills with puzzles. We have a bit of work to do.
